The latest super-hero movie,
FLASH, is well on its way to be an unimaginable stinker for Warner
Brothers. Its drop from the first week to the second week was over 70%,
and it's opening week sucked. It cost about $220 million to make and
had a promo budget of another $150 million. It looks like WB is going
to eat about half of that total. Its third week it brought in only $5.2
million, a drop of 62.5% from the already disastrous second week.
You
might remember that last year Warner Brothers decided to not release
BATGIRL. By not releasing it they don't have to declare it as the huge
turkey it actually was / is and therefore do not technically lose the
money. It is just sitting there on the shelf waiting to be released
never.
