COMPUTERS ARE AL MOST ALWAYS LOGICAL, BUT ARE NOT NECESSARILY REASONABLE

By Bob Walsh

A robot car of the General Motors subsidiary Cruise is on a test drive in 2019.

Another stinkarooski in S. F. involving a robot taxi.  On August 14 TWO robot taxis had brain farts and refused to clear the way for an ambulance en route to a hospital with a seriously ill patient on board.  The delay contributed to a "poor patient outcome" in that matter.  THE PATIENT FUCKING DIED BECAUSE THE ROBOT TAXIS WOULDN'T GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY.

Cruise, which operates the taxis, says that isn't quite exactly the way it happened.

Since they began operating recently there have been 74 "incidents" in S F involving robot taxis, of that number 52 were the Cruise taxis.

The matter is being investigated.  In theory.
