The institution of Cash Bail is no longer functional in
the Land of Lincoln. Suspected miscreant will either be held without
bail as a threat to public safety or will hit the bricks shortly after
arrest. Courtrooms are being set up in larger jails for the expressed
purpose of evaluating intake for retention or otherwise.
What the hell. It works good for New York City (doesn't it?), so why shouldn't it work for Illinois.
