NM GOVERNOR PEES ON HER SHOES

 By Bob Walsh

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham gives an update on the COVID-19 outbreak in the state Capitol during a news conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The leader of one of the largest Native American tribes in the U.S. called on Lujan Grisham June 23, to end efforts to fight a court ruling that orders improvements in education for members of his tribe and other vulnerable groups. New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham back-peddaled like crazy on Friday after being slapped down on her clearly unconstitutional effort to suspend both the U S Constitution and the New Mexico Constitution for 30 days in and around the capitol.

She has now "revised" her "public health order" which only suspends the right to carry firearms in parks and playgrounds in Bernalillo County.

The governor has yet to describe exactly how prohibiting honest, law abiding citizens from carrying weapons will cut down on violence.  When specifically questioned about it she admitted that it would probably do nothing, but that she felt compelled to "do something."  Too bad she did not feel compelled to do something that is both legal and useful.
