If Michelle Obama is the Democratic candidate, she will win the presidency by a landslide
The short answer is "Yes, but....." Unless he drops dead
in the next six days Trump will win the Iowa Caucus. A caucus isn't a
poll, and a poll isn't an election. It is still early innings.
But.....
Chris Christie and
Vivek Ramaswamy are NOT going to be the Republican presidential
nominees. They just aren't. Haley and deSantis will manage to stay
alive politically IF they make a significant, good showing. If they
bomb, it will be hard for them to justify staying in the running. I
still think Haley is really running for VP. I can't imagine that
deSantis would take VP if it was offered, at least offered by Trump.
IMHO,
for what that might be worth to you, is that the real political news
today is Michelle Obama's jumping in (or at least sticking her toes into
the water). Her statement that she is seriously, terribly, horribly,
unimaginably worried about what will happen to this country after the
next election. Was this just a once-off remark or is she REALLY being
set up to be the savior at the convention in Chicago? Are the Democrats
really that worried about both their #1 and #2 that they are thinking
about doing a slash-and-burn? They should be, but are they really?
Can
you stand the suspense? (Probably yes, but still.......) If you see
more and more of Barry and Michelle in the news over the next few
months, you need to give this serious consideration.
