State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond

The Brandeis Center and StandWithUs have just filed suit against the California public education system in general, the California Dept. of Education and Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurman, who is currently running for Governor of the formerly great state of California.  The suit alleges that state public schools in general and the Dept. of Education specifically are taking grossly inadequate steps to security the safety of Jewish students at public schools and seem unwilling to act to allow those students to get a reasonable educational experience in CA schools.

They have a LOT of evidence to support their claim.  These incidents contain both permitting harassment by students and pretty blatant discrimination by staff.

The suit was filed last week in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
