Both President Obama and Mitt Romney came across quite well in tonight’s debate. There was no clear winner. I’m sure Obama’s supporters were very pleased with the president’s performance, as were Romney’s supporters with the challenger’s performance.
The real winner tonight was Bob Schieffer as moderator. Unlike Jim Leher in the first debate, Schieffer did not lose control of the proceedings. And unlike Candy Crowley, who clearly favored Obama last week, Schieffer did not show any favoritism toward either candidate.
