EDUCATED IDIOT TEACHER TELLS STUDENTS AMERICAN FLAG IS ONLY A PIECE OF CLOTH THAT DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING

A piece of cloth that does not mean anything? Tell that to the American troops that stormed the beaches at Normandy. Tell that to our soldiers who fought at Bastogne. Tell that to the Marines who stormed the beaches and fought on Tarawa, Kwajalein, Saipan and Iwo Jima.

I suspect this teacher was infected with anti-Americanism by leftist college professors. I know that at College of the Mainland where I taught, the avowed Marxist professors were the most popular teachers among our students. I know the same held true in many other colleges and universities. Students indoctrinated in anti-Americanism by professors with their personal agenda.

It is a symbol of freedom and sacrifice for millions of Americans.

So news that a high school teacher allegedly stamped on the American flag in front of a class full of students has caused outrage across the country.

Scott Compton is accused of 'disrespecting' the flag during a lesson at Chaplin High School, in Chaplin, South Carolina, by treading on it and saying it was 'only a piece of cloth' which did not 'mean anything.'

The school is now searching for a permanent replacement for Mr Compton for the remainder of the year, WIS-TV reports.

Michael Copeland, a parent - and US military veteran - told the news channel that he was shocked when his teenage daughter told him about the incident.

He said she told him the teacher 'drew a couple of symbols,' including a crucifix, before taking down the American flag and throwing it to the ground.

She told him the teacher then described the flag as 'a piece of cloth' that 'doesn't mean anything' before throwing it to the floor and stamping on it 'repeatedly.'

A spokesman for the Lexington-Richland 5 school district, Mark Bounds, who is himself a military veteran, told WIS-TV that he was unhappy with Mr Compton's alleged actions.

'Our flag is a symbol of our freedom, and so many people have fought and died for that liberty, and so we take this action very seriously,' he said.

Mr Bounds said there is a 'code of ethics' for its teachers and that are advised to keep their personal opinions out of the classroom.

The lesson involving the flag was repeated in three classes that day.

Mr Compton has been placed on 'administrative leave' while the investigation is carried out, MSN reports.
