MORE LIKELY TO BE KILLED BY LIGHTNING IN THE PRISON EXERCISE YARD THAN BY EXECUTION

Henry Cervantes, 48, is alleged to be a Regimental Commander of the Nuestra Familia prison gang. He is also alleged to be the killer of Renee Washington, 56, and paroled murderer Johnny Gilbert Navarette, 73, in Oakland last year. These murders were believed to have been committed in furtherance of racketeering and could, at least in theory, earn Cervantes a death sentence.

Of course, even if he is actually convicted and sentenced to death, there is a much greater chance he will be killed by lightning in the exercise yard than by execution. (Not really, but it sounds good and is close to the truth.)
