About nine days ago in San Leandro, California something noteworthy happened. A man attempted to purchase some merchandise at a Radio Shack downtown with counterfeit money. The clerk refused to take the money. At that time the bad guy threatened the clerk, took the merchandise and ran.
The clerk called the cops who spotted the suspect driving out of the parking lot and gave chase. The bad guy fled at a high rate of speed. The cops backed off but the bad guy kept running and the getaway vehicle piled into a building near the San Leandro – Oakland city line. The female in the vehicle was ejected and killed. The male in the vehicle was ejected and badly injured, but will survive.
The as-yet unnamed driver is being charged with suspicion of robbery and murder under the felony murder rule. At least they did not take any bystanders with them on their ride to hell.
