San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon on Thursday announced his resignation and said he is moving to Los Angeles to explore a run for top prosecutor there.
The San Francisco Police Officers Association issued a statement regarding Gascon’s resignation:
“We are praying for the residents of Los Angeles hoping that George Gascon does not do to their city what he did to San Francisco during his tenure. We are happy he will be leaving San Francisco but feel horrible that he is taking his record of failure to an even larger county where he can cause even more harm to public safety. Good riddance.”

I don't know this but I suspect somebody stumbled upon something and made George Gascon an offer he couldn't refuse. Leave town.
Ding Dong the witch it dead. (Or at least leaving.) And I strongly suspect Trey is right. Gascon is not an incompetent, but he is very political.
