A golfer was driving his golf cart at a high rate of speed on the course yesterday in the CA foothills, tried to cross a bridge on the course, didn't make it, hit the railing, was thrown out of the cart into the creek (or whatever) the bridge was crossing, and died. His companion was not ejected from the cart and was slightly injured.
I can't help but think there was some substance abuse involved in this. I could be 100% wrong, but somehow I get that feeling.

Ya but...were they wearing seatbelts? California law is quite strict on this issue.
The dead guy was from Texas. Maybe they don't believe in seat belts there.
