BANNED FOR LIFE FOR MASK NON-COMPLIANCE

by Bob Walsh

Delta Airlines takes their mask requirements seriously.  About ten days ago two knuckle-heads were kicked off a Delta flight in Detroit for refusing to wear a mask on board the plane.  Those two are now banned for life from flying on Delta aircraft.  They are joining approximately 100 other people who have been banned for life from flying Delta Airlines for mask non-compliance.

Delta is a private company and under federal law they have a HUGE amount of discretion about demanding that passengers follow lawful orders of the flight crew.  If you don't like it, there is always Greyhound.  Of course they might require masks too.

These clowns need to be banned from public transportation period. I'm not a fan of wearing a mask either but it is a protective measure of the times we live in.

Less than a 1% fatality rate for those who catch this disease. Of that small percentage, the vast majority...over 90% are those with other serious health issues, those over the age of 70, and/or both.

Your stupid little masks will not save you. If you are in the vulnerable group (as I am btw) you have the option to self quarantine, self isolate, and/or stay out of public places.

But this radical and fearful response we are taking...closing down public places...closing down certain types of businesses...social distancing...and yes...the wearing of masks and face shields...is destroying our economy.

It just ain't worth it. Don't be afraid. But if you are...self quarantine. Don't require an entire nation to follow these stupid, destructive, protocols.

Dave, you just don't get it. Wearing a face mask protects other people from getting coronavirus.

You keep harping about a fatality rate of less than 1%. That's pure horseshit! For instance, in week 29 of the pandemic in the US, 12% of those who came down with corona died. The death rate goes up and down from week to week. But it has always hovered around 10% or more.

And what difference does it make if the people who died had other serious health issues. They would not have died then if they had not caught the virus ... probably from some dipshit who refused to wear a mask

Howie. The overall...fatality rate...for this is less than 1%. Not in every town. Not in every community. The OVERALL fatality rate. That means it will be more some places and less in others. Not sure where you got your 10% figure. Out of your ass maybe?

Denmark and Sweden are not buying into this nonsense. And they are doing just fine.

Yes...many of these corona virus did indeed dye from their other serious issues. On that we can agree. Which means that wearing a mask would have served no purpose. And it also means that part of that 1% (not that 10% figure you just made up) were erroneously attributed to the pandemic. Which means that 1% figure is most likely much less than from the pandemic.

You're afraid, Howie. I get that. So just stay home and stay isolated to protect yourself. Promoting measures that will destroy our economy over this is just plain stupid.

Dave, I got my death rate figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). You must have gotten your figures from the tooth fairy.

The CDC just came out with a report that should be earth-shattering to the narrative of the political class, yet it will go into the thick pile of vital data and information about the virus that is not getting out to the public. For the first time, the CDC has attempted to offer a real estimate of the overall death rate for COVID-19, and under its most likely scenario, the number is 0.26%. Officials estimate a 0.4% fatality rate among those who are symptomatic and project a 35% rate of asymptomatic cases among those infected, which drops the overall infection fatality rate (IFR) to just 0.26% — almost exactly where Stanford researchers pegged it a month ago.

Don't be afraid little Howie. Everything is going to be ok.

Dave, you cling to your stats, I'll cling to mine.

That doesn't alter the fact that, except for some quacks like Dr.Stella Immanuel, all reputable health experts say that in order to defeat the corona pandemic, people must wear masks, maintain social distancing and wash their hands frequently.

You stick to your reputable health experts, I'll stick to mine.

It must be terrible to live in such fear.

New England Journal of Medicine says wearing masks in public is stupid
Posted on May 28, 2020

Science!

A virus is so small, it sails right through cloth masks, not to mention around the sides of masks, not to mention into your eyes. The only good a mask can do, if you are highly symptomatic, is to stop your own cootie boogies from flying out of your face onto other people. Which is why sick people should stay home.

Here is the straight skinny, from an article first published last month, that is miraculously still available online. Thank you, Michael Klompas, M.D., M.P.H., Charles A. Morris, M.D., M.P.H., Julia Sinclair, M.B.A., Madelyn Pearson, D.N.P., R.N., and Erica S. Shenoy, M.D., Ph.D.

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.”
