DID TRUMP'S SCOTUS APPOINTEES JUST SAVE THE DEMOCRATS FROM A MIDTERM DISASTER?

The Republicans were well on the way to swamping the Democrats in the coming midterm elections.  President Joe Biden's policies and performance have been so bad that even some Democrats were thinking about voting Republican.

                                               "It's all Trump's fault"

Although he keeps trying, Biden cannot blame Trump for the:

border crisis

embarrassing Afghanistan withdrawal

energy shortage

rising inflation

crime surge

backbreaking rise in gasoline prices

These failures sank Biden's popularity to record lows and hurt the Democrats too.  The experts predicted that the Republicans would swamp the Democrats in the coming midterm elections and retake both houses of Congress.

The Republicans were licking their lips in anticipation of a midterm victory when the sky started to fall in. Wade v. Roe was overturned by the Supreme Court.

The decision infuriated millions of Americans, especially women. Most Republicans cheered, but their celebration may be premature. The decision may have saved the Democrats from the predicted midterm disaster.

Trump was quick to take credit for the Roe v. Wade decision, and he is exactly right. His appointment of Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barret and Neil Gorsuch to SCOTUS gave the conservative a solid 6-3 majority. So, if the Republicans don't do well in the midterms, Trump's three appointees will have saved the Democrats.

Of course, a lot can happen  in the five months until the election that can turn the vote one way or another. But expect the Democrats to make abortion their primary issue. The Republicans will make the economy and border crisis their issues and that may work for them.

I don't think so. The people who are outrageously pissed over Roe weren't going to vote for conservatives anyway. It may help fund raising, but I would not be on a voter swing because of it.

Suddenly you can't find a Democrat in Galveston County. Even the folks running as Democrats don't really mention it. Maybe there are still proud Democrats just North of us in Harris County. 6 months ago, GM was offering 0 % interest for qualified vehicle buyers. It's now 5.1 %. Peanut butter and meat have doubled in price. Vehicle fuel? Forget about it! Grocery shelves are empty of some staple items. We are in a recession.

I thank God for President Trump and his Supreme Court appointees. Even after a stolen election, he is still Making America Great!

By the way, Where is the Build Back Better Program put forth by Biden?

It's probably lost in the same desk drawer his cure for cancer is lost in.
