When Stupid Can Be Fatal

Four boys, age 13-15, stole a 2018 Aude from a home in
Abilene early yesterday morning. They live-streamed themselves in the
stolen car. They also stopped at a convenience store to steal some
stuff.
The car was spotted
by the local constabulary at about 0407 hours. It was easy to spot as
they smashed into a parked, unoccupied police car and then drove away.
The teens fled at speed and the cops followed but not not "pursue" the
vehicle.
Two minutes later a
light pole jumped out in front of the car. One of the passengers was
killed in the collision. The driver is facing a buttload of felony
charges. One of them should include felony stupid.
