A jury in Morton County, N.D. acting on Wednesday handed
down a $660 million judgement against Greenpeace for organized attacks,
including serious vandalism and property destruction, initiated against a
pipeline operator in North Dakota. The Dakota Access Pipeline came
under attack ten years ago. Greenpeace is of course announcing this as a
SLAPP suit and decrying the judgement. They seem to think that
destruction of property is covered by Freedom of Speech. The jury
disagreed.
Assuming the verdict is upheld it could destroy the organization. Too bad. So sad.

The woman with the hairy armpits holding the sign wouldn't last one week without the pipelines.
