MY SUGGESTION IS TO TURN THE SPANISH REGION OF ANDALUCIA OR THE FRENCH ISLAND OF CORSICA INTO A PALESTINIAN STATE SINCE THE LEADERS OF BOTH COUNTRIES ARE SRONG ADVOCATES FOR A PALESTINIAN STATE

A Palestinian state is off the table for Trump admin

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on Tuesday told Bloomberg that we’re unlikely to see a sovereign Palestinian state “in our lifetime.”

Whatever other behind-the-scenes tension there might be between Washington and Jerusalem, the Trump administration appears to have fully adopted Israel’s position that there can be no independent Palestinian state in the near future. Not after the events of October 7, 2023.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on Tuesday told Bloomberg that we’re unlikely to see a sovereign Palestinian state “in our lifetime.”

“Unless there are some significant things that happen that change the culture, there’s no room for it,” said Huckabee, adding that he doesn’t see the two-state solution as part of the Trump administration’s foreign policy agenda.

Huckabee did suggest that if other nations are eager to push forward a two-state solution, they begin looking at alternative locations for a Palestinian state. “Muslim-controlled countries have 644 times the amount of land that Israel does,” he noted.

According to Reuters, that same day the Trump White House sent a diplomatic cable to allied nations urging them not to participate in the upcoming two-state solution conference being put on by France and Saudi Arabia.

The cable reportedly cautioned that any anti-Israel actions or resolutions taken at the event would be seen as opposition to US foreign policy interests, and could carry consequences.

It further stressed that recognizing a Palestinian state, and sanctioning Israel for failing to do so, would be a reward for terror and bolster Israel’s enemies.

“Unilaterally recognizing a Palestinian state would effectively render Oct. 7 Palestinian Independence Day,” the cable read. It’s a point Israel has been making since that fateful Shabbat morning.

The French-Saudi conference is scheduled to begin at UN Headquarters in New York City next Monday, June 16. Paris has already lowered expectations, signaling that it will not unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state, but rather present a framework it hopes will lead to an eventual two-state solution.
