A ring camera caught a blonde haired women abandoning her dog

 

Heartbreaking footage has emerged of a loyal dog wagging his tail and trying to get his owner's attention moments before he was abandoned in the middle of a Florida neighborhood.

The viral video captured on a Ring camera showed a woman in Sweetwater slamming the door of her white sedan in the confused golden doodle's face before speeding off on Wednesday morning.

The video begins with the blonde-haired woman exiting her car and opening a door to grab something, while the excited pup sits inside.

She makes her way around the back of the vehicle to put the energetic golden doodle on the side of the street near the sidewalk.

The dog can be seen taking off, running around the road as the cruel owner quickly walks back to the driver's seat.

In a tear-jerking moment, the dog recognizes that his owner has returned to the car and quickly runs over to the door in an effort to jump in himself, but is locked out. 

Confused, the pup started to run around the sedan and even began jumping with his front paws onto the car, all while his tail continued to wag.

When the dog finally stopped to go to the bathroom, the owner took the opportunity to drive away, leaving the dog stunned.

All alone, the dog was seen trotting up and down the street before the video cuts to black.

The footage was shared online and captioned: 'Someone abandoned their dog, sad to watch. Still around my house if someone wants to give it a new home. Looks like a golden doodle.'

The loving pup was later rescued and brought to a groomer, who said the dog's hair had the worst case of matting she's ever seen, according to NBC6.

Pastor Garcilazo wound up responding to the social media call out.

Garcilazo told NBC6 that he decided to see if he could find the dog after seeing the video.

'He was very energetic, he was around the place, like running around in circles,' Garcilazo told the outlet.

Garcilazo had the dog groomed, where a member of the staff said it had the worst matting she had ever seen

 

'The people that posted the video, when I got there, they told me that the person was crying a lot, that that's not shown in the video... but I mean, at the end of the day, she left him just like that. There are ways to do things like that, and that's not one of them, you know.'

The rescuer is hoping to check if the dog is chipped and said that multiple people have reached out to offer him help.

Garcilazo plans to keep the dog and has renamed him the name Leo.

While Leo found a happy ending, the video has sparked mass public outrage and fury at his original owner. 

One critic wrote: 'The way he tried to get on the car after she was leaving, he just wanted a way back in. She should be arrested. This is beyond cruel.'

Another added: 'This is so sad. Hope she gets the karma she deserves. I’ll never understand why people get dogs just to mistreat or abandon them.'

A third said: 'Is there an image of the plate? She should be arrested.'
