This screengrab made from a handout video footage courtesy of Timothy Brant-Coles shows two gunmen dressed in black firing multiple shots on a bridge at Bondi Beach in Sydney on Dec. 14, 2025.

It seems that two terrorists attacked a celebration of the first day of Hanukkah at Bondi Beach in Australia.

Early reports indicate a total of 40 casualties including 11 dead.  One terrorist is dead, another is in the hospital and is unlikely to survive.

A bomb was found in a car near the scene.  The bomb was successfully neutralized.

A significant amount of the Jewish community in Australia are capping on the government there for it's sometimes virulent Pro-Palestinian attitudes.  These attitudes are often (IMHO) thinly veiled anti-Semitism.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Death toll rises to 16, with 40 people still in hospital

The shooters were a father and son team. The father owned six licensed firearms. All were present at the scene of the shooting. The Australian government is calling for even further restrictions on legal firearms ownership.
