BRILLIANT DETECTIVE RAPES WOMAN AT GUNPOINT, FORGETS TO RETRIEVE WEAPON FROM VICTIM'S CAR

Where on earth do they discover some of these brilliant cops and correctional officers? This detective sergeant takes the 'El Stupido' award by a whopping country mile. Well, at least he made it easy for some other detective to solve this case.

CORRECTIONAL OFFICER AND COP ARRESTED IN RAPE

An unbelievably stupid Westminster [California] P D Detective Sergeant and a Correctional Officer were arrested over the weekend in what was described as a "brutal" kidnap and rape of a 25-year old restaurant worker.

Sgt. Anthony Nicholas Orban, 30, a 5-year veteran of the Westminster P D and Jeff Jelinek, 30, a Correctional Officer assigned to Chino, were arrested for the crime which occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Sgt. Orban approached the victim as she was getting into her car in a mall parking lot and forced his way into the car. Jelinek stood watch as this part of the crime went down. Orban then forced the woman to drive to a commercial area of Fontana where he raped the woman at gunpoint. After the crime was committed the stupid bastard left his service weapon in the victim's car.

Some pretty basic police work then determined that, after the rape, Orban called Jelinek, who came to pick him up and return him to the mall. About this time Orban noticed his gun was missing and called his wife, who called the cops. They were taking a report from him, accompanied by Jelinek, when the call came in about the rape and the gun found in the car. The victim identified both of them.

Orban was booked at West Valley Detention Center and is being held against a $1 million bail for kidnap-rape, carjacking and false imprisonment. Jelink is also being held against a $1 million bail for carjacking and being an accessory to rape and is currently on Administrative Leave.

If true, and it probably is, I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Let's remember though, this alledgedly happened over the weekend, and it is still being investigated.

I have deleted a pic and description of the accused correctional officer from our messege boards at PACOVILLA.

Let's give these guys the benefit of the doubt....at the very least up untill they're arraigned.
