I definitely do not like most of the Obama administration’s policies. I fervently hope Obama will be only a one-term president. However, I am thoroughly disgusted by all of the false smears against him that inundate the internet and radio broadcasts by conservative commentators. There’s plenty of accurate material to criticize the president with so that his detractors don’t need to attack him with a bunch of complete crap. And that crap keeps getting forwarded all over cyberspace because so many people want to believe it.
It is utterly amazing that Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and well-known commentators Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin would all be so stupid as to believe that Obama’s 10-day trip to India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan would cost $200 million per day and that the president would be guarded by 34 U.S. Navy warships. Beck screamed that the trip would cost the taxpayers $2 billion. Didn’t the researchers employed by Bachmann, Limbaugh, Beck and Malkin inform them that the war in Afghanistan costs ‘only’ $190 million per day?
Common sense would tell anyone with half a brain that the daily cost of a 10-day presidential trip would not cost anywhere as much as the daily cost of a major war. It is obvious that Bachmann, Limbaugh, Beck, Malkin and their ilk are so eager to besmirch Obama that they’ll blindly accept any accusations that make the president look bad.
This brings me to the ‘birthers’ among the Obama haters who continue to insist that the president was not born in the U.S. and that, according to constitutional law, he does not qualify to serve in that office. These same jerks continue to insist that Obama is a Muslim, when he has been attending Christian churches for well over 20 years. And it doesn’t stop there. These jerks continue to question Obama’s attendance at and degrees from Columbia University and Harvard Law School.
There are those who excuse this garbage by arguing that the liberals trashed George W. Bush every day during the eight years he was president. While true, that’s a piss poor excuse for deliberately spreading falsehoods! Apparently these jerks don’t agree that the old saying ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’ still applies.
At this point in time, what difference does it make where Obama was born or if he is a Muslim? He’s been president for almost two years and will continue to be president for at least two more years. The Obama haters are dreaming when they believe they can get him removed from office on the birthing bit. And if his critics continue to smear him with a lot of phony crap, they may actually end up helping him to win a second term. That would be a damn shame and that’s why I say, HEY YOU JERKS, GIVE IT UP!

Did you see Beck "scream" that it would cost 2 billion?
Neither did I. I did hear him say that a source in India had made that claim though. And then I heard him say that...no matter what it cost...was a trip to India right now really all that important.
Nobody "screamed" anything Howie. People just reporting what was put out by another media source.
Centurion, I know you are an admirer of Glenn Beck. I'm sorry to say that I do not buy your comments. I'll admit that "scream" was not the appropriate word to use.
However, by repeating the Indian paper's report, Beck was deliberately smearing Obama with that $200 million per day absurdity. And saying "no matter what it cost" after he injected the $2 billion sum doesn't alter the fact that he spread an obvious lie.
I've talked to several of Beck's followers and not a one of them has heard him say that the Indian paper's story was false. In my book that makes Glenn Beck a jerk.
