SUCKING UP TO MUSLIMS, OBAMA BASHES ISRAEL AGAIN

While standing next to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during his visit to Indonesia, Obama criticized Israel on Tuesday for its plans to construct 1,300 more apartments in a Jewish neighborhood of East Jerusalem. Sucking up to the Muslims, Obama said, "This kind of activity is never helpful when it comes to peace negotiations."

This is the umpteenth time Obama has bashed Israel during his presidency. He considers any Jewish homes in East Jerusalem to be settlements.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office responded to Obama’s latest criticism by insisting that "Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is the capital of the State of Israel. Israel sees no link between the peace process and its development plans in Jerusalem." His office also insisted that Israel never agreed to halt the construction of new Jewish homes in Jerusalem.

On occasion, the president has also criticized the Palestinians. For the most part however, Obama has made it quite clear that he holds the Jewish state responsible for the conflicts in the Middle East, calling Israel’s policies dangerous for American troops and blaming Israel for the failure to reach a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
