So, another black teenager was shot to death by a black teenager in Chicago over the weekend. The unusual thing is that somebody cares, at least somebody with some juice.
Jovan Wilson, 15, was the grandson of Illinois Representative Danny Davis. The young man was in his own home, more or less minding his own business, when two other teenagers broke in. The intruders were known to the young Mr. Wilson. They argued over a pair of basketball shoes and then intruders pulled a gat and blasted Wilson. He died.
The two suspected shooters, a juvenile male and a juvenile female, are now in custody. Things happen fast when somebody who can cause you some serious trouble if it doesn't happen fast is involved.
Maybe if EVERY black kid in Chicago was related to somebody important the casual murders would stop. Don't hold your breath on that one.
