President Jimmy Morales announced that the Guatemalan embassy would be moved to Jerusalem
America is no longer alone in moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
On Sunday, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales used his Facebook account to announce that after talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he decided to instruct Guatemala's foreign ministry to move the embassy.
Israel has had close trade ties with Guatemala for a number of years and has sold that Latin American country some of its best military equipment.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahy thanked President Morales: “God bless you, my friend, President Morales," he said. "I told you recently that there will be other countries that would recognize Jerusalem and announce the transfer of their embassies to it. Well here is the second country and I reiterate: It is only the beginning and it is important.”
No other country has joined Trump, but the Czech Republic has said it is considering such a move.
Moving embassie tos Jerusalem defies European and UN opposition and will infuriate the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world. Fuck the Palestinians!
