The racist yearbook photo which could end Ralph Northam's career may have been placed alongside his profile by mistake, according to the med student co-edited it.
Giac Chan Nguyen-Tan, a physician practicing in Connecticut, remembers that a page he laid out for the 1984 Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook was changed without his knowledge before publication.
Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has faced calls to resign since a 35-year-old photo emerged on his yearbook page of a person in blackface and another person in a Ku Klux Klan robe.
In his initial apology, Northam, a pediatric neurologist, said that the photo does not represent who he is now. A day later, he denied being in the photograph at all, while admitting to wearing blackface to imitate Michael Jackson at a dance contest.
Nguyen-Tan said he also doesn't believe it's Northam in the photo and that he never saw anyone in blackface or a KKK robe at the school. Born in Vietnam, he said he is well acquainted with racism and that Northam is 'the furthest thing he can be from someone who is a racist or bigot.'
Giac Chan Nguyen-Tan said he doesn't remember laying out Northam's page and it is unlikely that many students would have noticed if it had been placed there intentionally. He said: 'Could (the offensive photo) have been slipped in there? Absolutely.'

Now the Attorney General was found have a picture out there in black face and the Lt. Governor is accused of sexual assault. The top 3 Democrats are on a sinking ship and the next person in line is the Speaker of the House, a Republican.
If it weren't so destructive it would be fun to watch democratic/socialist attack politics come back and bite em in the ass.
