Authorities across the upper Mid-West are asserting that 13 deaths in that area are attributable to the rather incredible cold streak that smashed into the area in the last couple of days. In various places fire hoses froze solid, interfering with attempts to fight a fire and train travel was messed up due to frozen tracks and switches.
That global warming sure is a fickle bitch.
