There was a pretty good output from various talking heads the last few days over Lori Laughlin. It seems that she is refusing to take any sort of deal or even acknowledge that she did anything wrong in spending $500,000 to get her kids into upper tier colleges where they manifestly did not belong and apparently didn't even really want to be.
Her daughters are now pissed at her as this situation blowing up has shitcanned their cushy and lucrative endorsement deals.
She is now looking at VERY SERIOUS time, at least potentially, for tax fraud and money laundering as well as whatever low-level nastiness she may have engaged in.
It seems, however, that she is totally clueless as to her situation. I grant you that typically American juries do not send famous, attractive, rich white women to prison for non-violent crimes, and sometimes not even for violent ones. The talking heads are absolutely stunned that she is either getting such crappy advice, or is choosing to ignore good advice when given.
The prosecution wants prison time for these malefactors. If she keeps up with her "ignore the clamoring of the peasants" routine she may end up doing little theater in the federal penal system until she is old enough to play Betty White in a tribute movie.

My wife watches The Hallmark Channel daily. She records the movies and one of her favorite stars is Lori Loughlin. Needless to say my wife is very disappointed with Miss Goody Two Shoes breaking the law. I brought up the subject and now will not mention it again.
