NEVER TOO OLD. I'LL SHOW YOU

by Bob Walsh

Albert Flick had done 25 years for murdering his wife back in 1979. Her children were watching when he did it.

After he got out he was arrested for assaulting another woman. Since he was in his latte 60's at the time the judge told the prosecutor to bugger off when he asked for a lengthy sentence, pointing out that Flick would be OLD by the time he got out.

He got out, moved to Lewiston, Maine and developed a fixation on Kimberly Dobbie, 48. She was homeless and moving from shelter to shelter with her 11-year old twin boys.

On July 15 of last year Flick attacked her while she sat in front of a laundromat with her two sons. He stabbed her eleven times. She died. The attack was on surveillance video.

Flick will be sentenced on August 5. He faces up to 25 years in the slammer. I am guessing the judge is not going to cut him a lot of slack. Good thing he didn't do it in California, they would let him walk with time served, because he is elderly and infirm and unlikely to be a danger to others.
