New York State is is many ways almost as fucked up as New York City. The power grid is woefully inadequate yet the governor has been working hard to close down a nuclear power plant that supplies 25% of New York City's power requirements (because nuclear power is bad). Trouble is, there is nothing to replace the capacity with. So you don't have enough juice, and no way to replace the juice, and then the guy who shut off the juice screams that there isn't enough juice.
The plant is supposed to close down in another 2-3 years. Even IF they decided to do something to try to replace the generating capacity there is no way to get whatever it might be on line in that period of time. The summers will then get really nasty in NYC when they make it illegal to run residential air conditioning. Talk about grumpy New Yorkers right now.
These are the assholes that are running this country. And we keep voting them into office. The fault is not in our stars, but in our selves.

Good for them! Let the power experiment begin. Sometimes you get what you want and it turns out to be a cold plate full of disappointment garnished with regret. Eat it up!
