Gavin Newsom hates guns. Gavin Newsom hates people who own guns. Gavin Newsom hates people who like guns.
Therefore
Gavin Newsom really hates the Franklin Armory Title 1, which isn't
exactly a pistol and isn't exactly a rifle and is completely legal under
federal law and is not illegal under California law though it isn't for
sale here either. Yet.
Generally
speaking laws in CA, unless they have as urgency clause, need to go
thru a full legislative process and take effect on January 1 of the year
after they are passed. However, the Democrat-Socialists are trying to
sleaze a ban on this weapon into the budget bill, which takes only a
simple majority to pass and takes effect on July 1. The Newsom
acolytes are calling it an "assault weapon" but can't say exactly why.
Most of them don't know the difference between their asshole and their
elbow let alone the difference between a "clip" and a "magazine" or a
"bullet" and a "cartridge."
Even some Democrats are pissed off about the manner in which this is moving forward.
Franklin
Armory is suing the state to allow them to begin selling the weapon in
CA and will challenge the ban if it is successfully passed.
The
weapon very closely resembles a "full feature" AR-15 with one
exception. Instead of a conventional shoulder stock it has a straight,
tubular, padded extension which can give you a very good cheek weld but
is not really usable as a shoulder stock. You can check it out on
YouTube if you feel the inclination.

I watched the video. Welcome to the real world. Even though I'm not an AR platform fan, I have something similar from a kit.
