On
Sunday afternoon a 19-year old man who had previously stabbed and
injured a 34-year old man decided it was a good move to charge at the
responding Milpitas, CA. police while yelling and brandishing his
toad-sicker. Turned out it wasn't.
The
cops have not released the stupid dead guys name to the public yet.
The original stabbing and the shooting are still under investigation.

I attended an Officer Survival School and several in-service classes about defending yourself against knives. It takes 1 second for an assailant to cross 21 feet and stab or slash a police officer. I saw it done many times with a red dye rubber knife before the officer could unholster and draw. Even shot and falling propelled by inertia, the officer still got slashed. Now Dallas PD and Houston PD have policies against shooting knife wielding criminals. Fucking ridicules! As soon as the cops back down from a knife carrying criminal and he proceeds to kill a civilian then these policies will be dropped. Why? Because the civil suits will be served.
