group of undergrad students at the University of Manchester have
"demanded" that the word "black" be banned from lectures and textbooks
because of it's negative connotations.
This
would include the expression "black sheep" to describe an undesirable
family member, "black mail to" designate extortion and "black market" to
describe an underground economy often selling stolen goods. They do
not say what words should be used to describe sheep who actually happen
to be black.
In response the University is preparing new training and research to look into "racist terminology" and "verbal aggressions."

Why don't we do away the the color black. From now on it should be called coal. I'm sure the entire language could be changed in short order for political correctness. People who take it upon themselves to change the entire English language for purposes of political correctness should be called Assholes. They should wear name tags describing themselves as such.
This year it was more of a gray Friday. I scoured the ads for deals worth venturing out for or even ordering on line. I bought a computer gizmo for my oldest grandson. That's all. I don't think it was a great deal either.
