Lontz explained how being an Amazon driver isn't simply just dropping off packages with a great deal happening on a daily basis

 

The actions of an Amazon delivery driver has been applauded by netizens after footage emerged on the internet showing her standing between a 19-year-old girl and a bloodthirsty pitbull. Stephanie Lontz was making her dropoffs around suburban Las Vegas when she heard someone screaming for help.

She immediately saw a young girl who was struggling to keep her pet safe from an aggressive pitbull. Without a second thought, Lontz stepped in between the girl and the pitbull to help them get inside the house, and away from the snapping jaws of the pitbull, who moments ago had lunged at the woman's dog.

Lauren can be seen running into the porch while carrying her own pet as Stephanie can be seen in the background dealing with the savage pitbull

 

Stephanie Lontz could be seen standing in between Lauren Ray and the pet as she attempted to block it from attacking Lauren's own dog

 

In the footage filmed by Fox5, Lauren said, "I didnt have enough time to say thank you. I was just shaken up... but I'm so glad i got to see you again and it means a lot to me." Responding to this, Lontz replied, "The screams made me think of my own child. I would only hope someone would jump in and help her if she was in a similar situation. I wouldn't even think it's motherly, its just - its the human thing to do."

She also explained how incidents like this are common and something delivery drivers go through a lot. Most of the times, public doesnt see them captured on cameras and the efforts are not even recognzied.

Recollecting another incident she said, "Two days prior, i had been bit by a dog. Two days before that, i had saved a baby that wasn't even two years old locked in a house." She also explained how her coworker the other day has put out the fire. She later added, "In the end, we are just doing our job." On seeing this recorded footage, Amazon workers along with local courier company 702 logistics surprised Lontz by giving her family four tickets to the Enchanted Christmas at Las Vegas Ball Park.

Many Twitter users commented on the viral video posted by Lauren Martinez, reporter with FOX5Vegas. One user wrote, "Give that Amazon driver a gold medal" while others applauded driver's brave and courageous act. Another responded with, "amazon will get you what you need in one day and save your life too!!" A third user remarked with evident sarcasm, "I am shocked that it was pit bull!! Cue up the “they are not violent dog” people in 3,2,1… That Amazon lady came in like a BOSS!!"
