____________
A DATE THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY
by Bob Walsh
So,
to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day I went out today (scheduling issue for
tomorrow) and shot about 50 rounds each thru my four principle carry
guns, three 1911s and one .38 special snubbie.
I
then took them home, took them down (including detail stripping the
slides on the 1911) and cleaned them really well, then lubricated them
appropriately and put three them back in the safe. The fourth one went
back in the holster.
A good
way to not have trouble is to be ready for it. I think it was Julius
Caesar who said that the best way to ensure peace was to prepare for
war. Thomas Jefferson is often quoted as the man who coined "The price
of freedom is eternal vigilance."
Personally
I think that Short and Kimmel should have been put up against a wall
and shot, but maybe that's just me. They were both court-martialed and
found guilty of dereliction of duty. I wonder what our political ruling
class and military commanders are doing with regard to Russian, China
and the Middle East, and which of them will turn to shit first.
My
guess is that Russia will make a move to take over most of the Ukraine
by force in less than six months. I would not be surprised if the
Chinese make a move on Taiwan right after the Olympics. I am confident
they believe (probably correctly) that Joe Biden has both no brains and
no balls. Plus both they and the Russians almost certainly have major
biographical leverage (blackmail material) on Biden's son. It is hard
to say if the goat fuckers will try to blackmail us and Israel first or
will just start blowing shit up when they get their nukes up and running
(assuming the Israelis don't take decisive action first.)
The
whole point is simple. You are less likely to get hit when you are not
looking if your head is not normally up your ass, and if your 1911 is
close at hand you have more options that if it is home in the safe,
separated from it's ammunition.
