Putin
announced today (Sunday) that, due to the "aggressive actions" of NATO
he is ordering his nuclear forces to an increased level of alertness.
Unless he is truly demented he can't seriously think that NATO is going
to nuke him over the Ukraine so, IMHO, it is pretty obvious that he is
trying to shake out any weak sisters that might be out there arrayed
against him, and get the west to back away from the sanctions. You
never know, it might even work. Joe the Hairsniffer didn't even want to
sanction Putin personally until he got shamed into it by some of the E U
countries.
I do know
that, assuming he wasn't lying, it does increase the possibility of some
major whoops going seriously bad seriously fast. Russia's command and
control over nukes isn't nearly as good as ours from what I've heard.
So, is Senile Joe going to do likewise? Damned if I know.
