TRUMP IS RIGHT ABOUT ARMING TEACHERS, BUT HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED HOME ..... FURTHERMORE, JUST 3 DAYS AFTER THE UVALDE MASSACRE IS NOT THE TIME FOR THE NRA TO HOLD ITS CONVENTION

'Their bodies aren't even in the ground': Trump flayed for DANCE after chanting Uvalde massacre victim names Social media users called out Trump for mispronouncing the names of the victims and the audacity of his 'cha-cha-cha' dancing at the end of his speech at the NRA Convention

Former President Donald Trump condemned the recent Texas school massacre at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) convention on Friday, May 27 calling for an overhaul of school security demanding teachers should be armed. Trump’s speech came three days after teen shooter Salvador Ramos gunned down 19 children and two adults at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

The 75-year-old also recited the names of the 21 Texas mass shooting victims at the NRA but stumbled at a few places that did not go down well with the social media users. Each name was interspersed with the funereal sound of a gong that irked the Internet. If this was not enough, Trump hailed the NRA in his speech and ended his remarks with his signature clenched fists and “cha-cha-cha” dance move. This left the social media users fuming as many expressed their anger on Twitter.

Donald Trump calls to 'arm teachers'

During his speech at the NRA convention, Trump asserted, “Surely we can all agree our schools should not be the softest target our school should be the single hardest target in our country” adding, “And that's why as part of a comprehensive school safety plan, it's time to finally allow highly trained teachers to safely and discreetly concealed carry, let them concealed carry.”  He also said it was wrong to go after guns “every time a disturbed or demented person commits such a hideous crime.”

The controversial politician asserted, “The fact is, there will always be sick and demonic souls who wish to harm the innocent and see malice triumph over good but the existence of evil in our world is not a reason to disarm law-abiding citizens who know how to use their weapon and can protect a lot of people.”  After he pronounced the names of the victims as the bell tolled, Trump said, “The monster who committed this crime is pure evil, pure cruelty, pure hatred, absolute pure hatred and while those he slaughtered are now with God in heaven, he will be eternally damned to burn in the fires of hell", as reported by The Daily Mail.

‘Their little bodies aren’t even in the ground. And he’s fucking dancing’

Social media users called out Trump for mispronouncing the names of the victims and the audacity of his dancing at the end of his speech. “Guns are banned at the NRA Convention today when Trump speaks. Just soak that in real quick”, said one user as another chimed in, “Trump danced at the NRA convention. Their little bodies aren’t even in the ground. And he’s f**king dancing.” One user asserted, “So during this NRA conference trump read (and mispronounced) the names of the 19 dead children and the two teachers and then at the end of the speech he did a little dance?”

The next one tweeted, “In his NRA speech, Donald Trump cites "broken families" as a cause of mass shootings, "because no law can cure the effects of a broken home," he says. He's been divorced twice.” One user posted, “If I lost a child in a mass shooting and Donald Trump dared to speak their name at a f**king NRA convention there isn’t a force in the universe strong enough to protect him from my wrath. What an absolutely incomprehensibly disgusting excuse for a human he is.” One user shared, “This is just gross. They have Trump trying to pronounce and read the names of the dead children while the NRA rings a bell. Disgusting.” And, one concluded, “Watching Trump mispronounce the names of the dead, the sickeningly theatrical bell ringing, the stupid dance at the NRA. One of his most despicable things he has ever done and god knows that is not easy.”

His call to arm teachers after the Texas school shooting was also condemned online. One social media asked: "So they don't trust teachers to write their own curriculum, but the GOP want to trust teachers to be highly trained sharp shooters... You really can't make this shit up." Another asked how it would boost gun sales. A third stated: "Why do kids have to endure going to prison-like schools when we can simply change some of the gun laws that get unnecessary assault rifles out of people’s hands without really stopping people from owning regular guns?"

When a publication quotes supposedly random social media comments in it's zeal to make a negative President Trump story, I don't have much confidence in the article.

I'm not an NRA member but this convention was planned at least a year in advance. My son attended it and he said it went off well.

MEAWW is an India based publication that has healthy doses of gossip.

What, does the author think the NRA picked the time and place last week? These things have MONTHS of lead time and contractual obligations. It's not like the monthly meeting of the rotary club. They can't just cancel and reschedule for next week, or move it from Denny's to IHOP.
