At least 22 people are known dead in a South African night club in the southern coastal town of East London.
Local
residents called the cops at about 0400. The club had been the scene
of a party to celebrate the end of the school term and was mostly
attended by late teens and early 20s students. The club, Enyobeni
Tavern, is in a poor district known as Scenery Park.
The
local constabulary is saying that there is no obvious sign of violence
on the bodies. Many of the bodies are slumped over at tables. Others
appear to have dropped death where they were standing.
A
cop forensics team has been called in to examine the scene. Such clubs
are common and often operate in violation of liquor license laws.

Probably some sort of homemade washtub punch.
I thought seriously about that but I never heard of bad alky killing people on the spot. Then again I don't hang around that much with serious alcoholics or purveyors of unlicensed booze.
