OK, SO STOCKTON DIDN'T QUITE BURN DOWN TODAY

Two very large produce warehouses, covering two full city blocks on N. Wilson Way (just north of The Stroll) burnt pretty much to the ground on Monday.

It is hard to tell if that was part of the Juneteenth celebrations, homeless people setting fires, or some other cause.  I drive that way fairly regularly as there are a lot of specialty auto related businesses in the general area.  I confess I don't ever remember seeing ANY vehicles around the warehouses, but the buildings did not look to be particularly decrepit or abandoned either.  There is still a significant amount of produce shipping that takes place around here, but not nearly as much cannery and other processing operations as there once was.

And of course sometimes buildings do just catch fire.
