A THOROUGHLY BAD SHOW

The attack is said to have happened on Thursday on a beach in the Greek resort of Malia 

OK, this is sort of gross and disgusting.  Seems that an as-yet-unnamed 70 year old brit and his 34 year old daughter were on vacation at the resort of Malia on the island of Crete on Saturday.  They had an unpleasant difference of opinion about SOMETHING at a bar when the father made an "obscene gesture" to the daughter and hit her in the face.  He followed her out onto the street and they ended up on a deserted beach where he allegedly raped her.  She was more or less passed-out drunk at the time.  She did not report the crime for two days.

A review of available security footage showing much of the preliminary activity was made.  The daughter had numerous minor injuries consisted with the attack described.  She could not identify her attacker other than to say that he was wearing white clothing.  Her father was wearing white clothing.  

DNA samples were taken.  The victim says she believes her father could not have been the man who attacked her.  

 

Greek law allows for a significant reduction in sentence for many crimes, including this one, if the culprit admits guilt and makes a public apology to the victim.  The father will remain in custody until at least Tuesday, which is the deadline for the apology and admission.  

The father has in fact pleaded NOT GUILTY and categorically denies committing any such crime.

A BRITISH man has been arrested accused of raping his own daughter on a Greek beach

The man had reportedly been drinking at a bar and later allegedly attacked the victim, according to cops in Crete

It is reported the man committed "indecent acts" at the bar before following the woman.

The woman was allegedly left with injuries.

She reported the attack two days later on Thursday, June 9, and the man was arrested on Saturday, June 11.

The victim said she could only remember the clothes her attacker was wearing, reports a newspaper in Greece. 

But she later is reported have told investigators her dad could not be guilty of the crimes.

The man allegedly struck her in the face before following her into the street before the attack.

He was taken to a local magistrate’s officer on Saturday and was charged with felony rape, sexual abuse, and domestic violence offences.

The man denies all charges and DNA samples have been taken for analysis.

He has been held in custody after appearing in court on Tuesday, reports Greek media.
