Last night the Colorado Avalanche won the coveted Stanley Cup

Last night I watched the Stanley Cup final pitting the Colorado Avalanche against the Tampa Bay Lightning.. It was game 6 of a seven-game series and was played in Tampa Bay. It was a hard-fought game, as were all the other games in the Stanley Cup seies.
Unfortunately the home crowd did not help as Colorado beat the Lightning 2-1 to win the Stanley Cup championship and hold their celebration on the ice in Tampa Bay.
The Stanly Cup is the oldest sports trophy in North America and the hardest trophy to win. The players of the winning team get their names engraved on the cup. Some NHL players could kill to get their names engraved on the coveted trophy.
Congratulations to the Avalanche players and coaches ... you deserved to win!
