‘Going to need a bigger dress’: James Wood mocks Monica Lewinsky for angry rant over Roe v Wade ruling
Wood slammed Lewinsky after she called out the Supreme Court judges for making abortion illegal in the US by overturning Roe v Wade
Actor James Wood took a dig at Monica Lewinsky,
the former White House intern who also reportedly had an affair with
former President Bill Clinton, after she called out the Supreme Court
judges for overturning Roe v Wade. The 48-year-old television
personality tweeted, “F**k you roberts. f**k you thomas. f**k you alito.
f**k you kavanaugh. f**k you gorsuch. f**k you coney barrett.”
Lewinsky’s
tweet did not seemingly go down well with Wood as he replied, “You’re
going to need a bigger dress.” Also, before mocking Lewinsky, the ‘Once
Upon a Time in America’ star had supported the judgment and shared, “The
Court’s decision today was about neither a woman’s ‘right to choose’
nor the sanctity of pre-natal life. It was about undoing previous political overreach by an activist liberal Court. Decisions about abortion will now rightfully be left to the States to legislate. Or not.”

“The Supreme Court decision today, when culled from the hysteria of the left, is a momentous decision for States’ Rights. Yet again the foresight of our Founders is seen to be an enduring marvel. Two centuries ago they knew that a bloated government was tantamount to monarchy,” Wood added.

Meanwhile, not all felt the same as Woods as a user tweeted, “Every person who voted for a Republican over the last 1-2 decades shares responsibility in today's SCOTUS decision.” The second user said, “This is also on everyone that voted for Trump. His presidency allowed this conservative majority in the courts along with unqualified justices.”
“I’m sitting at work fuming. I don’t know what to do with this anger—I’m going to law school presently and by damn if I don’t do another thing I will fight for women’s rights. I live in TN and all I can think of are women who are in need and now can’t control their own bodies…” the third one noted.

Another person wrote, “Isn’t it mind boggling that they decided that gun rights are a basic freedom and a woman’s right to her own body is not? The case, if you read the decision, is not about life or fetal rights. It’s all about the rights of women. From the brilliant dissent.”
Another one added, “This is so incredibly divisive and everyone is angry (even for some reason the pro-life people). I personally think our country went back in time by 50 years. We can and should do better. It all starts with getting out to vote…before that is taken away too.”
All these reactions have come after on Friday, June 24, Supreme Court
Justice Samuel Alito said, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be
overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such
right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including
the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely — the
Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”
He added, “That
provision has been held to guarantee some rights that are not mentioned
in the Constitution, but any such right must be ‘deeply rooted in this
Nation’s history and tradition’ and ’implicit in the concept of ordered
liberty. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of
abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
