AM RADIO IS SAFE...PROBABLY

A while back the major car manufacturers decided that it was time to eliminate AM radios in cars.  To save money allegedly.  The voices on conservative radio speculated that it was part of a woke effort to silence conservative talk radio which is primarily on the AM bands.  Others voiced concern that since the emergency broadcasts are almost exclusively on AM bands (better coverage) it was a public safety issue.  The safety issue people are clearly correct.  The evil conspiracy people may be correct.

In any event FORD announced a few days ago that they were backing away and would continue to place AM capable radios in new cars for the foreseeable future.  That is, IMHO, a good thing.
