Yup, you got that right. Of course just now Gavin Newsom is backing away from it. It is hard to tell if he just had a change of heart or is appalled by the incredible cost or realizes that a lot of people who might otherwise vote for him for president will be repelled by the idea.

I can't stop laughing at the stupidity of California. If this becomes law, the check cashing /liquor stores will be the true beneficiaries.
