“Sexual Perversion” Is Greatest Threat to Israel, Insists Knesset Member
Israel faces terrorism, Iranian missiles, economic crisis – but it all pales in comparison to disobeying God’s Word, says lawmaker.
MK Yitzhak Pindrus says disobeying the Word of God is more dangerous than any terrorist organization.
With all the threats Israel faces, none is more existentially threatening than sexual perversion, warned Member of Knesset Yitzhak Pindrus (United Torah Judaism) in a television interview this week.
“In my worldview, the most dangerous thing to the State of Israel — more than Islamic State, more than Hezbollah, more than Hamas — is the permissiveness regarding arayot, because that’s what the Torah says,” Pindrus said, using a religious Jewish term for sexual relationships and behavior that is forbidden by the Bible.

“That is why,” he added, “I need to not only prevent the Pride parade, but in general to prevent this movement,” an apparent reference to the LGBT movement that is gaining momentum in Israel.
Pindrus insisted that according to the Bible, Israel should purge the Land of sexual deviation and expel those who practice it, rather than embrace them.
Needless to say, the ultra-Orthodox lawmaker was roundly condemned by
his peers for what they called “dangerous homophobia.” His remarks were
also held aloft as further evidence that the current government of
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could usher in an era of “religious dictatorship,” a Halachic state.
