A section of I-95 has collapsed
right in the middle of Philadelphia. A fuel tanker caught fire on the
ramp under the overpass. The section right above the tanker came down
and the adjacent section is compromised. Monday morning commute should
be fun.
Pete Buttigieg has
said that the main problem was the diesel powered tanker. If fuel
haulers had to use electric powered tankers they could not haul anywhere
near 10k to 20k gallons of fuel so tanker fires would not be such an
issue. He recommended fuel carriers switch to Prius or similar vehicles
pulling utility trailers to deliver fuel in barrels. (He didn't
really, but he probably will.)
Joe
Biden released a statement saying that FIRE IS BAD and blaming fire on
Trump. (That didn't happen either. But it probably will.)
