OFFICIAL RESPONSE IS 'YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE THAT DOCUMENT'

By Bob Walsh

Seizing weapons is a top priority in stopping gangs and violence, says Stockton police.

"Guys, fuck that call. We don't need to respond to it."

Regular readers will recall that I have written recently about new non-response programs of the Stockton Police Department.  It might be more proper to say newly recognized but long-standing non-response programs.

The Stockton RECORD recently asked Omer Edhah, spokesman for the Stockton P D, about the July 5 memorandum and the June 27th memorandum explaining the non-response policies of the Stockton P D.  His response was, "I don't have a comment on the July 5th Document nor the June 27th Document or anything referring to them in particular as they were not to be released."  Really classy dude.

The Stockton P D is currently 25% under strength.

Cops are short staffed and overwhelmed. A definite lack of prosecution doesn't make things easier. The f*ck it attitude is growing among law enforcement.
