Connecticut has not enacted any new gun laws since the
Sandy Hook shooting ten years ago. They have just, however, made up for
it.
Assuming the new laws
survive court challenges which were filed immediately on their passage,
open carry is now banned in the state and, with some exceptions, you can
not buy more than three handguns in any 30 day period.
On the good side the state is upping bail and tightening other controls on repeat gun crime offenders.
On
the not good side the restrictions on "assault weapons" have been
expanded and the penalties for having evil high capacity magazines are
stiffened up.
