Three staffers in Chicago City Hall had the affrontery to
complain about being mistreated by suits within the newish Johnson
administration. They were not taken out and shot, but they were fired.
Several
women in the "digital team" (press office) who were leftover from the
Lori Lightfoot administration have complained that Jason Lee, who is a
top political advisor to the new mayor, Brandon Johnson, came into their
office and began screaming obscenities and being a general dick towards
them. Their boss at the time was Josue Ortiz. The three women
complained to him. This was two days into the new administration.
Lee
denied any involvement in the three women being sacked. The women
complained thru the Inspector General's office. It is not clear in
media reports whether they were civil service or at-will political
appointees.
