HOPE, Ark. – Authorities in Arkansas said more than $28 million worth of methamphetamine was found in a box truck carrying fresh limes near Hope last November.

Officials with the 8th South Drug Task Force said investigators received information about methamphetamine being trafficked through Texarkana.

With the help of the Arkansas State Police and several other law enforcement agencies, the suspected vehicle was stopped at a weigh station near Hope.

Investigators said they found 620 pounds, valued at $28.1 million, of methamphetamine in the 10 tons of fresh limes in the truck.

Two people were arrested and are facing charges of trafficking methamphetamine. Authorities did not release the names of the individuals.
