The California Democratic Party is holding a powwow this
weekend. They are, in theory, going to try to consolidate behind ONE
candidate. Right now there are at least eight candidates and several
have name recognition, though few have any real traction.
The
smart money is saying that the party will NOT be able to come behind
and endorse only one candidate. They are further saying that they will
have trouble convincing any of the also-rans that they are in fact
also-rans and not front runners. Which is fine with me.
